In a recent announcement, The Hon. I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, declared the appointment of Latia Duncombe as Director General of the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation.

Cooper praised Duncombe stating, “During the past year, Mrs. Duncombe has brought energetic leadership to our senior executive management team at the Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation. She has made a seamless transition from the corporate sector to public service, utilizing her wealth of knowledge and experience to lead Team Tourism. She joined at a crucial time as we were undertaking the task of Tourism recovery and has worked tirelessly to achieve the goal of getting our industry back on track.”
Record-breaking appointments
Duncombe is the seventh Executive to be appointed as Director General in the Ministry’s 54th year and the third female to hold the position.
